What is a Windows Registry?
The Windows Registry is a database that stores settings and options for all software and hardware on a computer, as well as Control Panel settings.
The Registry contains information that Windows continually references during its operating, such as program settings, user profiles, and information about what hardware is installed on the computer.
The Windows Registry is a central location for software & hardware settings, and replaces the .ini files (which were used by Windows 3.x) and MS-DOS configuration files (such as Autoexec.bat and Config.sys).
The Windows Registry is one of the most important components of any Windows computer system and should not be tampered with lightly.
Did You Know...
Spyware may leave behind traces in your windows registry that may not be removed by anti-spyware software. This is why some pop-ups and other spyware activities will persist on your computer even after a spyware removal program has been used.
How to fix Registry Problems?
Use a Registry Cleaner to scan your computer and remove any problems. Attempting to repair the Registry problem on your own without a Registry Cleaner may result in your computer becoming unusable - we strongly urge you to use a Registry Cleaner to avoid costly computer problems.
